Keyboard Adventures is an introductory method for groups of young beginners, ages 5-7, and is an exciting, new alternative to private piano instruction.
Lessons present a balance of singing, moving, drumming, writing, and reading activities-together with playing at the Clavinova keyboard.
Keyboard Adventures is carefully planned and sequenced to meet the developmental needs of the students. The small group of children will learn a collection of songs with associated activities.
Singing will encourage tonal development as well as establish a keyboard repertoire. Moving and drumming activities will establish the body as a rhythmic instrument.
Keyboard activities will establish technique, repertoire, and application of a musical personality.
Because an adult/parent/caregiver is such an important part of the young students success, he or she will be invited into the classroom at the end of each lesson to ensure a smooth transition from lesson to at-home practice.
Keyboard Adventures is offered at the GrandStaff Piano Studio in Quakertown, Pa.
