Competitions!  Our Spring Competitions are next month!  The Piano Performance Party (for Pre-school thru 2nd grade) is Sat. April 14th at 11:00 AM.   The Junior Division is Sat. April 14th at 1 PM for 3rd-5th graders.  Both will be at the Jacobs Music Hall, Willow Grove.  Our Senior Division Competition (6th Grade and up) is Sat. April 28th at 1 PM at the Jacobs Music Hall, Willow Grove.

Be sure your young person is involved and working hard.  Remember the work that is done to prepare for Competition results in great strides forward in our skills.

Plan now to attend-participate-and invite!  What fun!  Be a part of all the fun and motivational events we have at GrandStaff Studio.  We are excited and your young person will benefit greatly!

A wise comment was made not long ago about Competition and I would like to quote it:

”It’s not so very important how a student does at Competition that matters, but the preparation leading up to it.”  In other words, greater advancement is made in our piano skills as we prepare for our performance.  We all need goals and reasons to strive toward our goal.  Competition provides that.  Beautiful ribbons are given in each category and two overall medals are awarded.

The Little Mermaid!  Don’t miss the performance of our student Luke Strauss in the lead role of the Broadway play “Disney’s Little Mermaid”.  Showtimes are Wednesday March14th-thru Saturday March 17th 7:00 pm. Sunday March 18th 2:00 pm on stage at Southern Lehigh H S in Center Valley. (Football, Piano, and now Broadway-wow!)

Piano Tuning   Have you had your piano tuned lately? Spring is one of the best times to have it done.  Do you have a metronome and a music dictionary?  We can help!  Ask for tuners names and numbers.  We have catalogs for metronomes and we have dictionaries here available or we can recommend a good music store where you can choose your own.

100 Day Challenge! If your student took part in the 100 Day Practice Challenge, be sure to look for their name in the April or May edition of Piano Explorer Magazine. We are proud of all of them!

Why learn to play the piano?  Besides learning beautiful music, piano lessons help build and strengthen coordination, verbal abilities, and abstract reasoning skills.

Welcome!   We are off to a great start on our KBA Spring semester!  We have lots of enthusiastic little students who love to learn music.

Why learn to play the piano?  Besides learning beautiful music, piano lessons help build and strengthen coordination, verbal abilities, and abstract reasoning skills.

This Spring semester we are learning rhythm and notation-as well as many music symbols, time signatures, note values and lines and spaces.

We are progressing well in our Lessons and Recital books. Our workbooks are done together here at the Studio.

The Little Mermaid!  Don’t miss the performance of our Senior student Luke Strauss in the lead role of the Broadway musical play “Disney’s Little Mermaid”.  “Under the Sea” showtimes are Wednesday March14th-thru Saturday March 17th 7:00 pm. Sunday March 18th 2:00 pm on stage at Southern Lehigh H S in Center Valley. (Football, Piano, and now Broadway-wow!)

Piano Purchase:  Many of you have asked us about buying a piano.  Please be careful about buying pianos from the classifieds. We will always refer you to a good reputable dealer and encourage the purchase of a good instrument.   Wow-what a great gift for the whole family!

We look forward to many more weeks of fun and excitement as we learn to read music and play the piano.

Happy Springtime!

Sincerely,

Happy St. Patrick’s Day and Springtime to all!

Be a part of all the excitement and fun!

                                                         We love teaching your children!
